Mowing
Mowing/Trimming - Grass should be maintained at a length of
2 1/2 to 3 inches to achieve the most healthy lawn conditions. Weekly mowings are recommended during peak growth times to keep grass at an optimal healthy length. Grass that is cut too short may "burn" in the heat of summer, and the lawn will become water stressed from quicker evaporation.
Power Raking
Power Raking is a process by which dead grass from previous seasons is machine raked. (also called de-thatching). The grass is then hand raked, and mowed to remove the remainder of dead grass. This process will enable water to better penetrate the soil, instead of running off, and allows grass to come in thicker. Fungus and other turf grass diseases are less likely to occur when thatch is removed.
This service should be performed in the spring before the grass turns green.
Aerating
Aerating is a process by which holes are punched and small plugs of soil are extracted from a lawn using an aerator. This process allows water to penetrate to the roots of the lawn allowing for better saturation. The plugs are left on the surface to later be broken down by mowing. The plugs contain nutrients that are reintroduced into the lawn as they deteriorate.
This service should be performed in spring when ground is moist.
Hand Raking
In the Spring it is done after power raking to finish picking up the dead grass and leaves embedded in your lawn.
In the Fall hand raking is done to clean up leaves before the first snow so debris isn't laying on the lawn over the winter which may inhibit new growth in the spring.
This service should be preformed in spring and fall.
Sprinkler Instillation, Maintenance & Repair
Our company will install sprinkler systems and will perform regular maintenance and repairs. In the spring, we will turn on sprinkler systems, make any repairs or adjustments, and set and replace timers, as required. Over the course of the season, we provide needed repairs to damaged heads, broken lines, etc. We also have the capability to move lines. In the fall, we shut down sprinkler systems by blowing out the lines in preparation for winter. Good sprinkler system maintenance is key to a healthy green lawn. Sprinkler system winterization should be performed before the first freeze.
Hedge/Small Tree Trimming
Pruning trees and shrubs adds to the aesthetics of the property as well as keeping the trees and shrubs healthy and growing. Ornamental shrubs and vines should be trimmed after they bloom; also evergreens should be trimmed.
This service should be preformed in early spring, summer and late fall.
Landscaping
Landscaping is the newest addition to our list of services. We can provide fill dirt, lay sod, and create landscaped areas for shrubs, etc.
Debris Removal
Debris removal is done any time you need it done. We can remove downed trees and branches, and remove dead bushes or shrubs.
Snow Removal
During the winter months, our company provides snow removal services for both residential and commercial customers. We have the capability to plow, and spread or apply sand. We also utilize snow blowers, snow sweepers, shovels, and apply salt and sand to sidewalks, as well as liquid ice melt to larger areas such as parking lots & roads.
Holiday Lighting
During late fall and early winter our company hangs holiday lights to our customer's specifications. Customers may also request that we take down the lights after the holidays. We can also store your lights if requested.
